If you are looking for a mild, safe yet effective anabolic steroid, choose Anavar. Its mild nature causes fewer side effects and this begs the question; do you have to run an Anavar PCT? Well, yes since you need your testosterone back.
When to consider PCT
Any athlete or bodybuilder will tell you to run an Anavar PCT after the end of your cycle. Continual use of steroids especially for more than three weeks completely shuts down your body’s natural production of testosterone. To bring back the normal test production, you will need a post-cycle therapy. If you choose to skimp this process, it might take a year or so for testosterone production to start on its own. PCT stimulates the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) which triggers the testes to produce adequate testosterone for body use.
You can buy a full PCT gear online or from pharmaceutical stores. It contains selective estrogen receptor modulator which is responsible for enhancing the levels of LH and FSH. A complete PCT comprises of either clomid or Nolvadex which you will have to use one of them for three or four good weeks. Ideally, start your PCT three days after the end of your cycle. The most preferred dosage per day is 150 mg for week one, 75 mg for week two, 40 mg for week three and 20 mg week four. As for Nolvadex, reduce the dosage by half for every week starting at 40 mg per day until the last week. If you stack Anavar with other steroids, introduce human growth hormone.
Although post-cycle therapy is important, there are some instances where you don’t have to go through it. For one, if you use Anavar for a period not exceeding 10 days and stop thereafter, you need not run a PCT. This is because the natural production of testosterone has not been altered. On the other hand, avoid PCT if you are going to start another cycle within 3 months.
Be sure to take an Anvar PCT of lest you suffer from gynecomastia, fatigue, testicular atrophy and other side effects. However, it is not necessary if you take Anavar for less than 10 days or if you’re going to start another PCT within twelve weeks.
