Maar niet alleen vader Bush heeft zakelijke contacten met bin Laden. Ook zoon W. Bush kan zijn partij meespelen. 'There is no indication President George W. Bush has met any of the bin Ladens, but he was indirectly linked to one of them two decades ago. His longtime friend James W. Bath, who met Mr. Bush when they were both pilots in the Air National Guard, acted as a Texas business representative for Osama's older brother, Salem bin Laden, from 1976 to 1988, when Salem died in a plane crash', schrijft de Wall Street Journal.
In het kritische G.W. Bush-boek Fortunate Son [zie over dit boek ook deze DaanSpeak] staat dit citaat: ''The first of many of G.W. Bush business ventures eventually bailed out or liquadated before bankrupcy was his oil company Arbusto Energy. In 1977, Bush received a $50,000 investement from James R. Bath, a Houston business man "who made his fortune by investing money for [Sheikh Kalid bin] Mahfouz and another BCCI-connected Saud, Sheikh bin Laden" according to Time correspondents Jonathan Beaty and S.C. Gwynne. Of special note is that Sheihk bin Laden is widely believed to be the father of Osama bin Laden, terrorist bomber of two U.S. embassies in 1998.'

Nog weer een andere link tussen Bush en de bin Ladentjes is deze: 'In the 2000 PBS Frontline special report, Hunting bin Laden, PBS reported that Salem bin Laden [the oldest of Saudi Arabia's bin Laden brothers] died in a 1988 Texas plane  crash - not in a hobby-kit-type, one-man ultralight, but in a full-size British Aerospace BAC 1-11. The death "revived some speculation that he might have been 'eliminated,' " PBS reported, adding that an accident report was "never divulged."' In hetzelfde verhaal vertelt een getuige dat het niet een BAC was, maar een ultralicht vliegtuigje dat Salem fataal werd.
