Cleaning the refrigerator is one of the most annoying household chores. It is advisable to do this at least once a month. This will facilitate the longer storage of the products in it and prevent the formation of unpleasant odors in the refrigerator.
Modern refrigerators don’t really need to switch off as often, nor do you have to turn them upside down for optimal performance. Most of them are equipped with automatic anti-freeze systems and hardly accumulate ice.
If ice has still accumulated, you must defrost the refrigerator to clean it. The easiest thing to do is simply unplug it, open the door wide, and leave it open for a few hours to melt the ice in it.
If you do not have so much time, you can speed up the process of defrosting the refrigerator by placing hot water in it. As a very fridge freezing option, you can warm the ice gently with a hair dryer.
In any case, do not attempt to remove the accumulated ice from the refrigerator with sharp objects to avoid damaging it.
